GUINOBATAN, Albay—The coast guard stations in Masbate, Sorsogon, and Catanduanes suspended all trips to other provinces on Sunday after tropical cyclone wind signal no. 1 was hoisted over parts of Bicol Region and Visayas.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) raised signal number 1 over Masbate’s Ticao and Burias islands, the eastern portion of Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Albay, Sorsogon.

Coast Guard Commander Edgardo Aguilar of Masbate, through a notice published on social media, said that vessels will be allowed to take shelter “as long as it is manifested through a written request and no passenger or cargo will be allowed on board.”

TD Enteng was last seen at 120 kms. North Northeast of Borongan City, Eastern Samar or 150 kms. East of Catarman, Northern Samar with winds reaching 45 kms. per hour and gust up to 55 kms. per hour, according to Pagasa in a press briefing on Sunday, Sept. 1, at 11:30 am.

The state weather bureau is not ruling out possibilities of that TD Enteng will make landfall in Bicol or in Eastern Visayas.
